The money becomes a token

2026-09-04

The money screen on 2 September, with your cash, the price level, what the government wants and the CUT THREE ZEROS button

The money game has a real screen now. The picture shows it on 2 September. At the top is your cash, and under it is what that cash can buy. Next to it are your income, the price level and how fast prices are rising. PRINT, the interest rate and trust sit in one row. On the right, the government wants money by a deadline. Here the army wants grain for its soldiers. Below that are the factories you can buy, and the CUT THREE ZEROS button. A news line runs along the bottom. Today it says the families are advised to shop early in the month.

In the same week, you got to name your currency. The game got a main menu, and a graveyard for every currency you’ve killed. It also speaks Russian now. And there’s a version now that anyone can download and play.

Then I changed the setting. A government printing money feels like history. Crypto is the same thing, and people are doing it right now. So on 2 September I kept the game the same and changed the story around it. You don’t print money anymore. You mint a token. The people asking you for money changed too. Now they’re crypto investors who want their payout, and a regulator who wants to know who’s in charge. Every reset starts a new version of your token. The game asks you to name it, and every name it suggests promises to last forever. They all end up in the graveyard.

No real coin, company or person appears in the game.

Under the new story, nothing changed. Trust, printing and the reset are all still there, and the reset is still the point.
